What Is The Reason Behind Shutting Down Air Nigeria?

Jimoh Ibrahim

Jimoh Ibrahim, owner of Air Nigeria yesterday, Tuesday 4th September announced that he is suspending the airline from performing its duties because of what he termed ‘staff disloyalty and environmental tension.’ He said that except for 50 loyal employees of the airline, that others were sacked with immediate effect.
That of staff disloyalty I can understand: for people are hardly truthful these days and that would be a matter for another day, environmental tension is where I have my brows furrowed, wondering what is really behind the word.
During the Dana Air crash months ago, while the National House of Assembly was questioning
the airline Indian owners and some top staff of the airline too, UBA Bank was called upon as the bank the airline uses.
It was in the process of questioning the bank on how they grant loans that it was discovered that Jimoh Ibrahim had been collecting loans from the bank without collateral and with little interest, and even when he fails to meet up with the deadline for the payment, the bank still gave him another loan without collecting the first one owed by him.
Well I am not here to say much as I did not follow the investigative hearing to the end, but I did watch the interrogative session that I cited above.
So here is what I am thinking, could it be that the National  Assembly realising how he is operating the business decided to come hard on him by shutting it down even if is for the said 12 months that the shutdown is supposed to last.
Another pointer is to the fact that after Dana crash, warnings sprung up on Air Nigeria becoming the next to hit the rock.
So many other questions that needs answers, but I can only keep my ears open, hoping that the real reason will surface.
Jimoh also said, “Corporations are like individuals, who naturally will get sick, and the usual thing to do is to admit them to hospitals, either for corporate surgery or for treatment, as the case may be…During such period, it is not likely that they will work in full capacity, depending on the nature of the illness.”
The airline suspension according to him will last for at 12 months while asking passengers who have bought tickets to meet their agents for refund.
